In four days, one billion views of the trailer for the movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”

Superhero series continue to enjoy unparalleled global popularity. Recently, the first promotional advertisement for the movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” achieved an unprecedented record, having exceeded the barrier of 1.1 billion views within just four days of its release, thus becoming one of the most viewed promotional materials in the history of the film industry.

The advertisement, which was launched by Sony after mid-March, spread rapidly and widely across various digital platforms, achieving remarkable numbers from the first hours of its launch, as it recorded nearly 373 million views during the first eight hours only, before the number jumped to about 718.6 million views within the first 24 hours, which was considered at the time to be the highest daily rate of entertainment content ever, whether in cinema, or even in the world of video games.

This tremendous momentum did not stop on the first day, as the advertisement continued its rapid rise to break the barrier of one billion views in just four days, outperforming promotional campaigns for huge works that had previously achieved record numbers, including: “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which recorded 365 million views on its first day, and the advertisement for the game “Grand Theft Auto VI,” which reached 475 million views within 24 hours.

The new advertisement was also able to surpass the performance of the first advertisement for the movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which achieved 355.5 million views upon its release, before later becoming one of the most successful films in the “series,” with global revenues amounting to $1.9 billion.

Quick promotional clips were released, including a re-imagining of the famous Spider-Man cover, very brief shots of Peter Parker, action scenes of Spider-Man in the air, a shot of him being flung into the air (it is believed that the Hulk is doing it), a shot titled “Spider-Dive,” and another shot called “Punisher Plow.”

This promotional success comes at a time when expectations are increasing around the new film, which witnesses the return of star Tom Holland to the character of “Peter Parker,” after the dramatic events that ended with his identity being erased from everyone’s memory in the previous part.

A number of prominent stars participate in the film’s starring role, including: Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Mark Ruffalo, which enhances the amount of public anticipation for the work.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, written by Chris McKenna and Eric Sommers, while production is handled by: Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, in a project that is seen as one of the most prominent bets of the “Marvel Cinematic Universe” in the next stage.

Expectations about the movie:

The film is expected to achieve great success, especially since the previous series of “Spider-Man” films, within the “Marvel Universe”, achieved huge numbers:

– “Spider-Man: Homecoming”: about $880 million.

– “Far from Home”: about $1.13 billion.

– “No Way Home”: about $1.92 billion.

But it is unlikely that this part will surpass the success of “No Way Home,” which benefited from the appearance of multiple versions of “Spider-Man.” However, anticipation remains very high for the new film, especially with its release date of July 31, 2026, and with the promotional campaign officially starting after a period of uncertainty.
