Two universities "Mohammed bin Zayed for Humanities" and"Nahdlatul Ulama" In Indonesia, they organize a scientific forum

Abu Dhabi, December 23 / WAM / Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities organized the Scientific Forum for Program Development in cooperation with the Indonesian “Nahdlatul Ulama” University, within the framework of the joint keenness to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Indonesia.
The organization of the forum comes as a step towards the inauguration of the Mohammed bin Zayed College for Future Studies in the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta (MBZ CFS), which is the result of a solid strategic partnership between the governments of the two countries. The city of Yogyakarta, which enjoys a prestigious scientific standing, was chosen as an ideal location for the college’s headquarters.
The forum, which lasted for two days, resulted in fruitful results represented by strengthening coordination between the joint scientific committees in exchanging experiences and transferring knowledge, and discussing future plans related to the operation of the college between academic and administrative bodies.
It is planned that the Mohammed bin Zayed College of Future Studies will become a leading academic platform, combining authentic Islamic values and advanced future studies, with the launch of its first academic class in 2026.
On the sidelines of the forum, several meetings and workshops were held between the joint international committees, focusing on transferring and exchanging scientific expertise, and reviewing developments related to the project, including developing academic curricula, analyzing requirements for digital systems, and mechanisms for applying the highest standards of academic quality.
Scientific research projects that would enhance the college’s leadership in the field of future studies and transform it into a global center for innovation were also discussed.
The Mohammed bin Zayed College of Future Studies aims to provide students with practical knowledge and advanced skills that qualify them to deal with contemporary global challenges.
Its academic programs include vital fields such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, sustainable innovation, Islamic jurisprudence and contemporary ijtihad, which contributes to preparing a generation of leaders and thinkers capable of finding innovative solutions.
In its first phase, the college will offer six specialized master’s programs, aiming to provide students with the necessary capabilities to meet the requirements of the future, by offering scientific graduate programs in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, digital business management, food engineering and technology, global innovation and future studies, and architecture. Sustainable vital infrastructure, humanities and social sciences programs such as Islamic jurisprudence, in addition to contemporary Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic economics.
