Sharjah Scout Theater Festival kicks off on December 27
Sharjah, December 24 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the activities of the 12th session of the Sharjah Scout Theater Festival, organized by the Theater Department of the Department of Culture in cooperation with the Sharjah Scouts Commission, will be held on the 27th and 28th of this December. .
A group of short theatrical performances (10 performances) are participating in the current session, which were prepared during the period of the Scout training and rehabilitation camp under the supervision of an elite group of distinguished theatrical artists in various theater arts, who are graduates of previous Scout theatrical festivals. (40) are participating in this event. Rovers representing the Sharjah Scouts Commission, in addition to Rovers from the Universities of Sharjah and Al Qasimia.
The performances are presented on a circular theatrical platform in the middle of the courtyard of the scout camp, which was designed to simulate environmental life and resemble scout camp sessions, which translates the idea of the festival, which is based on the aesthetics of theatrical art, the foundations of the scout movement, and outdoor life close to the desert environment.
The works participating in the festival compete for 3 main prizes that are awarded at the conclusion of the festival: “Best Band,” “Best Group Performance,” and “Jury Prize.” Four daily prizes are also given, including: “Best Idea” and “Best Directorial Treatment.” “, “Best nailer”, and “Best acting”.
The festival administration chose a jury consisting of Dr. Muhammad Youssef, Yahya Al-Badri, and Magdy Mahfouz.
