The President and Foreign Minister of Türkiye affirm support for Syria’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Hakan Fidan, discussed enhancing cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Turkey in various fields, within the framework of the strategic relations that bring together the two countries.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkish Foreign Minister conveyed to His Highness the President of the State the greetings of the President of the Turkish Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his wishes for the UAE further progress and prosperity, while His Highness conveyed to him his greetings to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his wishes for his country’s continued growth and development.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed developments in the situation in the Middle East region, stressing the need to intensify efforts and endeavors in order to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the region, which threatens regional security and stability, in addition to finding a clear path to peace that guarantees the achievement of stability and security for all.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Turkish Foreign Minister also discussed developments in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, stressing in this context the two countries’ firm stance towards Syria’s stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to supporting everything that achieves the aspirations of its people towards security, stability and development.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Minister of State, Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar.
