Dubai hosts “Arab Plast” on January 7

During the period from 7 to 9 next January, the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center will host the seventeenth session of the Arab Plast international trade exhibition for plastics, recycling, petrochemicals, packaging and the rubber industry, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, and with the participation of more From 750 exhibitors from 35 countries, and pavilions from more than 12 countries.

The event will showcase a variety of products, technologies and solutions that shape the future of the plastics, petrochemicals and rubber sectors in the region.

Nidal Muhammad Kadar, Director of the Arab Plast Exhibition, emphasized the event’s role in displaying the latest technologies in plastics, recycling, petrochemicals, packaging, rubber and related industries.

He said that the Middle East region, especially the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, plays a pivotal role in the global plastics and petrochemicals industry due to its abundant natural resources, with Dubai acting as a gateway to these thriving markets.

He stated that hosting the exhibition in Dubai highlights the region’s position as a global leader in manufacturing and innovation, and strengthens its position at the forefront of industrial progress.

He added that the petrochemical sector contributes significantly to the gross domestic product of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with total revenues exceeding 100 billion US dollars.

For his part, Sadiq Al Lawati, Executive Director of Polymers Marketing at OQ Oman, the main sponsor of Arab Plast 2025, stressed the importance of the event as it is the influential platform that started from Dubai to major countries in the world.

For her part, Farah Abdel Hamid, Media Director of Arab Plast 2025, explained that Dubai’s strategic location, as a gateway to the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and the remarkable development achieved by the UAE in various fields, make Arab Plast, since its launch 17 years ago, an ideal platform for manufacturers and recyclers.
