A strategic step.. PMG of Portugal announces the transfer of its headquarters to Riyadh
This announcement came during today’s General Committee meeting at the headquarters of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, which discussed the Council’s work strategy and activities for the year 2025.
PMG Portuguese in Riyadh
Chairman of the Saudi-Portuguese Business Council, Alwaleed bin Khaled Al-Baltan, said that the Portuguese company’s transfer of its headquarters to Riyadh comes within the context of the council’s efforts.
This is to keep pace with the initiative to attract the regional headquarters of international companies within the Kingdom’s 2030 vision to transform into a global center for the private sector and multinational companies.
Al-Baltan added that the Council approved the establishment of a Saudi-Portuguese business incubator, the first of its kind, at the level of the business councils of the Federation of Chambers, to enable Portuguese companies to enter the Saudi market.
Building research and technology center laboratories
The CEO of the Portuguese company PMG, Mohamed Tarabishi, expressed their pride in being the first Portuguese company to open a regional headquarters in the capital, Riyadh, as the company specializes in designing and building laboratories for research and technology centers in medical centers and hospitals and biosecurity laboratories.
Tarabishi promised that moving the company’s headquarters to the Kingdom is a strategic step that is expected to achieve great returns and investment opportunities given the Kingdom’s great economic and financial stability, in addition to Riyadh being the economic capital of the Middle East.
Medical laboratories in Saudi Arabia
Last October, the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhaie, launched the initiative to develop diagnostic laboratory devices and reagents and 3D printing within hospitals and medical laboratories, in the Authority’s pavilion participating in the World Health Forum.
The initiative aimed to support innovation, research and development, and reduce costs for hospitals and medical laboratories.
This is in addition to strengthening the national industry and providing medical diagnostic laboratory devices and reagents for the purposes of diagnosis and treatment, for use within hospitals and not for commercial purposes.
The initiative came out of its keenness to encourage innovators and researchers, contribute to supporting national industries, and empower investors with regard to the products subject to its supervision.
