Emirates Airlines operates an additional flight to Colombo
Dubai, December 31, 2025 – Emirates Airlines announced the operation of an additional flight between Dubai and Colombo, starting from January 2, 2025, increasing the seat capacity on this route by 30%.
According to a press release issued by the carrier today, the additional flight will operate six times a week until March 31, 2025, daily except “Wednesday.”
Starting April 1, 2025, Emirates Airlines will operate a weekly flight, seven days “Wednesdays.”
The additional flight accommodates up to 360 passengers, and is divided into 8 suites in first class, 42 seats in business class, and 310 seats in economy class.
Thus, with the four daily flights, Emirates will provide more than 2,800 seats daily to and from Colombo and up to 160 tons of cargo on the same flights.
Emirates Airlines began operations to Sri Lanka in April 1986, and has transported more than 12 million passengers to and from Colombo since the start of operations.
