Al-Lahibi explained that the workshop aims to raise the percentage of children enrolled in kindergarten to 90%In line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
She also stressed the importance of enhancing integration between relevant authorities, and involving the local community and supporters to provide a facilitating educational environment that contributes to finding innovative solutions to achieve this goal..

Workshop discussions

The workshop opened with a working paper presented by the Director of the Early Childhood Department in Jeddah Education, Dr. Rahma Al-Zahrani, entitled “The current situation of kindergartens: reality and challenges“which highlighted the most prominent current obstacles.
It was followed by the second paper, which was reviewed by the Chairman of the Education and Training Council of the Jeddah Chamber, Dr. Khaled Bajamal, about “The role of the private sector in supporting kindergarten“
The workshop concluded with two workshops, the first of which addressed the reasons for reluctance to enroll in kindergarten, while the second focused on innovative solutions to increase enrollment rates, and was moderated by the head of the kindergarten department, Raeda Al-Hudhali. The workshop also included a screening of a documentary film entitled “A benchmark study of successful experiences in Arab and international countries“With the aim of benefiting from distinguished international experiences.
