American officials: The suspect was killed in a hit-and-run accident in New Orleans

US security officials announced on Wednesday the killing of the suspect who drove a truck that ran over a crowd of New Year’s revelers in New Orleans state. A federal law enforcement official source told CNN today that the suspect in the New Orleans attack “died.” He added that indications are that the suspect acted intentionally.
