Annual inflation in Uzbekistan has fallen to its lowest levels

Tashkent, January 2, 2017 – Data from the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, issued today, Thursday, showed that the inflation rate in the country declined during the month of December to its lowest levels since last April.
The statistics agency reported that consumer prices rose by 9.8% annually during the month of December, which is the lowest annual increase in eight months, and prices increased by 1.04% monthly.
Last month, food prices in Uzbekistan increased by 1.8% monthly and 2.4% annually, while prices of non-food goods increased by 0.4% monthly and 7.7% annually, according to Bloomberg News Agency.
