His embrace of her made her agree to the engagement… Mai Farouk talks about her relationship with her fiancé hours before their wedding

This evening, Thursday, January 2, the artist Mai Farouk will celebrate her wedding to the artist Mohamed Al-Amrousi, in one of the major hotels overlooking the Cairo Nile, after an engagement that lasted nearly a year.

Mai and Al-Amrousi were guests on the “A Al-Rayq” podcast, presented by the artist Khaled Alish on YouTube, hours before the wedding, where Mai revealed the story of her acquaintance with her fiancé, which began during their attendance at the wedding of director Batoul Arafa.

Mai pointed out that Al-Amrousi surprised her during the wedding by presenting her with a small hand fan to cool down the temperature. This simple situation was the beginning of a conversation that developed into a special relationship that ended with their engagement in January 2024.

Mai spoke about the difficulties she faced in the year before her engagement, including the loss of her father, stressing that she nevertheless considered the new year to represent the beginning of a new, happy and hopeful phase in her personal life.

Mai Farouk touched on her previous experience in engagement and marriage, as she confirmed that she learned that safety and peace are the most important things she seeks in a relationship, adding that spontaneity and frankness are the basis of a successful relationship, which is what she agrees with Al-Amrousi.

For his part, Muhammad Al-Amrousi confirmed that he is keen to consult with Mai about his artistic works, expressing his confidence in her intelligence and his happiness with her success.

Mai said she was not planning to marry again, as she was focusing on her work. However, Al-Amrousi’s intelligence and his containment of her made her agree to the engagement, and their engagement continued for seven months of understanding and containment.

Al-Amrousi explained that the acting profession is one of the most difficult professions in the world, noting that it comes in second place after miners, because of the great effort it requires.
