المملكة: 3 days shorten the procedures for the “Excellence Allowance” platform at King Abdulaziz University

On Wednesday 1-7-1446 AH, corresponding to 1-1-2025 AD, the President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Tarif bin Youssef Al-Amaa, inaugurated the “Excellence Allowance” digital platform designated for faculty members and the like, in a qualitative step towards digital transformation and achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s vision. 2030.
The platform aims to reduce the time period for procedures for disbursing the Excellence Allowance from 78 days to only 3 days, while improving the quality of services and speed of response to requests.
The platform allows beneficiaries to follow up on their requests electronically through 7 stages that have been transformed from the traditional paper system into an innovative digital system. The platform performs automated verification of eligibility for reward disbursement based on precise controls that include the type of research and the category of scientific journals, which ensures that errors are reduced and that time is saved.

Modern technologies

The platform features modern technologies that include automatic verification of publication status and classification of research, integration with university systems, and providing accurate periodic reports for management. The platform also enhances transparency by enabling faculty members to follow up on the status of their applications immediately, with notifications of application status, and updates to controls with ease.
Dr. Tarif Al-Aama pointed out that this initiative comes within the university’s efforts to raise the efficiency of operational processes, reduce the effort expended, and enable employees to focus on value-added work.
