Hamas presents a list of names of Israeli prisoners, but Netanyahu denies it amid intense mediations

A Hamas official reported that the movement has agreed to a list of 34 Israeli prisoners that Israel demands to release as part of the deal.

But the source did not clarify which of the kidnapped people were alive and which of them had died. The same source, who requested to remain anonymous, confirmed to Reuters that the deal is still conditional on the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and a permanent ceasefire.

< p>Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office denied: “Contrary to what was claimed, Hamas has not provided a list of the names of the kidnapped until this moment.” According to the Hebrew Channel 12, the list also includes men under the age of 50.

Hamas demands the release of heavy and high-sentence Palestinian prisoners, and among these prisoners are names that Israel has not agreed to release to this day. President Biden’s senior advisor, Brett McGurk, who joined the negotiations, has arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, and may be joined tomorrow or in the next few days by Mossad chief Didier Barnea. If they reach solutions, what will remain is the decision of the political level in Israel. The mediators are exerting great pressure on the parties, and in recent days they have presented a series of mediation formulas between Israel and Hamas regarding the lists, numbers, and identities of the abductees scheduled to be released, in addition to the Palestinian prisoners intended to be released.
