After publishing pictures of herself performing Umrah, a famous artist responds to critics with loud messages

After the recent criticism she received after publishing a group of photos of herself performing Umrah, Egyptian artist Juri Bakr took to the story feature on her Instagram account with several messages in which she expressed her anger and extreme dissatisfaction.

Jouri wrote: “Before you hold others accountable, hold yourself accountable first, and before you talk about God, learn that God is the only one who has the authority to judge. I do not need anyone’s evaluation, and whoever does not like it, simply talks about himself and leaves people alone.”

She added that she rejects attacks or bullying that hide behind religion, explaining that true religion is based on morality, compassion, and concealment, and not insulting or passing judgment on others.

She said: “Seriously, it is enough. Who are you to judge my relationship with God? Who have the right to decide whether someone’s life has been accepted or not? You have suddenly become judges? And do you not see yourself as guardians of people? What is between me and God is something that concerns me only. You do not see my heart, you do not know my intention, you do not see my tears or my supplications. Religion is not an insult, an insult, or an atonement for people! Morals, mercy and cover.”

She concluded by saying: “No one tells me to remove the post, no one tells me to grow your brain, no one tells me to be silent, I am completely disgusted and fed up, and any creature that enters to insult me or cause me any psychological harm will resort to the judiciary. Thank you.”
