Gold prices stabilize at $2,639.56 per ounce

Gold prices stabilized today, Monday, as investors awaited a series of US economic data scheduled to be released this week for indications of the Federal Reserve’s position on interest rates.

Gold prices stabilized at $2,639.56 per ounce.

US gold futures fell 0.1 percent to $2,652 an ounce.

As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.1 percent to $29.64 per ounce. Platinum fell 0.7 percent to $931.70 an ounce. Palladium fell 0.4 percent to $918.63 an ounce.
