Abdullah bin Zayed discusses by telephone with a number of officials and foreign ministers the latest developments in the regional situation

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed during telephone calls with a number of officials and foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries the latest developments in the regional situation, with the continuation of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries.

His Highness held telephone discussions with Dr. Subramnyam Jaishankar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India, Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad in the Kingdom of Morocco, and Pekka Haavisto, Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Sudan.

During the communications, they discussed the effects of these developments on the security and stability of the region, and their negative repercussions on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.

They expressed their strong condemnation of these brutal and terrorist missile attacks, stressing that they represent a blatant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and sovereignty of states and the stability of the region.

They stressed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.

During the communications, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also expressed his appreciation for the positions of solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors on its soil.

During the phone calls, they also discussed ways to enhance international cooperation and intensify joint efforts, in a way that contributes to maintaining regional and international security and stability.

On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during the phone call with Nasser Bourita, extended his sincere congratulations and blessings to the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco on the occasion of the Moroccan football team’s victory in the 2025 African Cup of Nations.
