Abdullah bin Zayed and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives discuss strengthening bilateral relations

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Dr. Abdullah Khalil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives.

During the meeting held today in Abu Dhabi, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, cooperation paths, and ways to develop them in several sectors, including economic, trade, investment, renewable energy, and climate.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Dr. Abdullah Khalil’s visit, stressing the UAE’s keenness to strengthen cooperation relations with the Republic of Maldives in a way that supports the development goals of the two countries and brings goodness and prosperity to their people.

His Highness and Dr. Abdullah Khalil also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest and exchanged views on them.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Commercial Affairs.
