A unified platform for the adoption of engineering plans in Fujairah

The Fujairah Municipality, in cooperation with the Civil Defense Department in the emirate, has adopted a unified platform for engineering plans, which target engineers, consulting offices and real estate developers, in order to unify the accreditation procedures between the two sides and accelerate the course of completion of transactions, within the framework of the emirate’s efforts towards the speedy completion of projects.
The announcement of the platform came during a workshop organized by the municipality represented by the Department of Engineering Affairs and Planning in the presence of a number of engineers and consultants, where the new system work mechanism was reviewed, technical and administrative procedures explained, and discussed the most prominent challenges and technical solutions that guarantee the flow of operations and accelerate the completion of projects.
The new digital platform allows the adoption of plans electronically through a unified environment linking the municipality and civil defense, enabling the two sides to exchange technical notes and immediate approvals, reduces the need for paper reviews, and improves the experience of customers from engineers, consulting offices and real estate developers.
For its part, the director of the Engineering and Planning Department in the Municipality of Fujairah, Maryam Ahmed Haroun, stressed that this step comes within the municipality’s efforts to develop services and enhance institutional integration, noting that the unified platform contributes to accelerating and simplifying procedures, and paves the way for more digital integration that enhances the confidence of customers and supports the sustainable development goals in the emirate.
She added that the adoption of the platform is consistent with the directions of the smart Fujairah government in raising the efficiency of government performance, and providing quality services that are in line with the aspirations of the dealers, stressing that integration with the civil defense enhances safety standards in urban projects, and establishes the principle of joint work between government agencies to achieve full digital transformation in the construction and construction system.
Haroun stated that the Fujairah Municipality is continuing to adopt the best institutional and innovative practices, and to develop a digital infrastructure that supports the sustainable urban planning system, and keeps pace with the national vision of the UAE in building smart cities capable of meeting the requirements of the future.
Participants in the workshop emphasized that the adoption of the platform is a qualitative shift in the engineering work system, as it enhances the efficiency of institutional performance and raises the quality of technical outputs, as well as the accurate performance indicators it provides that facilitate follow -up and speed up decision -making.
