Despite the loss of 2.2 billion pounds from the spending of international visitors last year, the sector added 273 billion pounds to the gross domestic product in the Japanese economy.

The temporary executive president of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Gloria Guevara, chose to focus on the total growth, rather than focusing on the decline in the United States and the United Kingdom.

She said: «These results tell the story of strength and opportunities, and the United States is still the largest travel and tourism market in the world, and China is restoring its power, and Europe is progressing strongly, and it achieves destinations in the Middle East, Asia and Africa recorded recently. On the global level, the travel industry grows at a very rapid pace, and according to the Global Travel and Travel Council report, the sector has provided 357 million opportunities in 2024, and the number is expected to increase to 371 million jobs, in addition to an increase in the sector’s share of global employment.
