US stock forecasts 2025

Regarding the S&P 500 index, expectations indicate that it can rise to levels ranging between 6,500 and 7,000 points, which means significant growth from its current levels.
However, some warn of a possible decline to around 5,500 points in light of volatile global economic conditions.
Investors hope that stocks will continue to rise through the end of the year and into the new year, leading to what is known as the Santa Claus Rise.

Standard & Poor’s index

This phenomenon refers to the market rising until the last five trading days of the calendar year and the first two days in January 2025.
The S&P has returned 1.3% on average over this period since 1950, according to LPL Financial.
Meanwhile, some fears are growing that the market will lose momentum with some profit-taking at the end of the year, after the major averages recorded losing sessions on Friday.

The largest Wall Street banks

On the other hand, the largest Wall Street banks withdrew from one of the most popular clubs within the climate investment sector, including Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup.
Bank of America and Morgan Stanley also withdrew, as they all left an alliance of banks to achieve zero carbon emissions.
It is the group dedicated to helping lenders quickly reduce their carbon footprint, while the true impact of bank alliance splits remains unclear.
