After his father’s desire to own it.. What is Trump’s son doing in Greenland?
Danish official radio reported that Donald Trump Jr.’s plane landed in the city of Nuuk, the capital of the sprawling region where approximately 57,000 people live.
Local media showed clips of Trump Jr. walking on the snow-covered airstrip.
The Greenlandic government said in a statement that Donald Trump Jr.’s visit will be like a “private citizen” visit and not an official visit, and Greenlandic representatives will not meet with him.
Danish region of Greenland
It is noteworthy that the Greenland region is autonomous under the sovereignty of Denmark, and Trump Jr. went to Greenland to spend a one-day trip to film visual content, according to a person familiar with the plans for the visit, and who is not authorized to speak publicly.
Greenland’s Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Miningjuak Kleist, told the Associated Press that authorities had been informed that Trump Jr.’s visit would take between four and five hours.
In turn, Donald Trump Sr. stated: “My son, Don Jr., and various actors, will travel there to visit some of the most amazing areas and landmarks,” according to what he wrote on his social networking platform, “Truth Social,” and was reported by the German News Agency on Tuesday morning.
Trump, who is scheduled to return to the office of President of the United States again on January 20, added, “Greenland is a wonderful place, and the people would benefit greatly if it became part of our country.”

Donald Trump Jr
While Donald Trump Jr. told Fox News before leaving for Nuuk, the capital of Greenland: “As someone who has traveled to some wonderful places around the world as a nature lover, I am excited to stop in Greenland to have some quality time this week.”
It is worth noting that President Trump’s eldest son, 47 years old, has not been appointed – at least publicly – to any official position in the Trump administration.
The visit comes after the president-elect again made comments about control of the region in a statement last month, while announcing his nominee for US ambassador to Denmark.
“For the purposes of national security and freedom around the world, the United States of America feels it is an imperative necessity to own and control Greenland,” Trump said in his statement.
