Life imprisonment for someone who attempted to assassinate Trump in 2024

Ryan Routh, the man who tried to assassinate Donald Assassinationof a candidate for the presidential elections, and he was sentenced to the maximum penalty, as requested by the prosecution.

Following his trial before this federal court, and immediately after the ruling was issued, Roth attempted to stab himself with a pen, but guards intervened to prevent him.

Ruth had pleaded not guilty, and defended himself during the trial, stressing that he had no intention of harming Trump or anyone else.
