10 demands for Emirati entrepreneurs to support national companies during 2025

Emirati entrepreneurs have identified 10 main demands to support small and medium-sized companies that are 100% owned by citizens, during the year 2025, the most important of which is demanding that banks provide facilities for financing national projects, and reducing the risk of financing Emirati companies.
They pointed out that banks do not provide sufficient support and assistance in financing operations for Emirati companies, and they also impose a high risk rate of up to 70%.
They called for facilitations in government tenders, granting national companies a preferential advantage, and allocating part of the national content program that aims to support industry and redirecting a larger portion of procurement and service expenses to national companies with several facilities, stressing also the importance of reducing government fees for national companies during the year 2025.
In detail, the Emirati entrepreneur, Ibrahim Bin Shaheen, called on banks to support Emirati national companies more by reducing the risk rate imposed on financing Emirati companies, explaining that “banks do not provide adequate support and support for financing Emirati companies, and they also impose a single risk rate on… Financing Emirati and foreign companies.
Bin Shaheen explained that “banks place a high risk rate of up to 70% on financing Emirati and foreign companies alike, which raises the cost of financing significantly and limits financing to national companies,” calling on banks to show flexibility in financing national companies and reduce the risk rate.
