المملكة: The Food and Drug Administration warns against dried beef due to its contamination with bacteria

The Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) warned against the pepperoni product, which is dried beef brand (Country Butcher Boy), “country of origin is the United Arab Emirates”, packed in 250-gram containers, and carries an expiration date until 3/1/2025 AD.
The Food and Drug Administration explained that the results of laboratory analyzes proved that the product was contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, which may pose a threat to the health of the consumer.

Dried beef

The Authority recommended that consumers avoid consuming this product and dispose of what they have of it, noting that it had taken the necessary measures to withdraw the product from the market, in addition to taking legal measures against the importing company.

She pointed out that violating the food system and its executive regulations could result in imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10 years, or a fine of up to 10 million riyals, or both.

It stressed that it will not tolerate any violation that may affect the health of citizens and residents, noting that it is continuing its efforts to ensure the safety of products, and to take the necessary measures against those who violate them.
