Abdullah bin Zayed discusses by phone with a number of officials and foreign ministers the repercussions of the Iranian terrorist missile attacks on the Emirates and sister countries.

Abu Dhabi, 29 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed during telephone calls with a number of officials and foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks on the UAE and a number of countries in the region.

His Highness held telephone discussions with His Excellency Dr. William Samoy Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Dr. Fuad Muhammad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency Mawlawi Amir Khan Mottaki, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, and His Excellency Tito Antonio, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Republic of Angola.

During the communications, the serious repercussions of current developments on the security and stability of the region were discussed, as well as their effects on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.

His Highness and their Excellencies, ministers and officials expressed their strong condemnation of these brutal and terrorist missile attacks, which represent a clear violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a direct threat to the security and sovereignty of states and the stability of the region.

They stressed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during phone calls, expressed his appreciation for the positions of solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors on its soil.

The telephone discussions discussed ways to enhance international cooperation and intensify joint efforts in a way that contributes to consolidating security and stability at the regional and international levels, supporting the stability of the region, and responding to the aspirations of its peoples towards achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.
