Watch| Citrus Festival in Blaze boosts growers’ sales

The activities of the ninth Citrus Festival were concluded in Al Hariq Governorate, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, and inaugurated by Al Hariq Governor Muhammad bin Nasser Al Jarba, amid a large turnout of visitors and guests, with the participation of more than (180) exhibitors from farmers and producers.
It achieved its goals, namely marketing the governorate’s citrus and various agricultural products, and witnessed a remarkable demand from visitors to buy the products. It also allowed farmers and producers to open new markets, through electronic marketing for many agricultural investors participating in the festival.

Visitors had a unique experience through their visit, where they learned about the stages and steps of cultivation and production of citrus fruits of various types, and learned about the most important agricultural instructions important for the success of crops.

Visitors to the festival enjoyed exceptional tourism experiences, including fruit and citrus farms, exploring striking tourist attractions, and visiting heritage villages that tell the history of the governorate, in addition to the towering Tuwaiq mountain range that embraces the governorate. This attracted the attention of visitors and won their admiration, reflecting the distinctiveness of the governorate with its tourism and heritage components, enhancing its position as a prominent tourist destination in the Kingdom.

Various activities

In addition, the festival witnessed the organization of various activities, including awareness workshops to promote sustainable agricultural practices, entertainment events for children, and sports competitions. It also included specialized corners for productive families, set up in the style of heritage homes, and witnessed competition in marketing their popular food products, which were well-received by visitors.

By the end of its activities, the ninth Al-Hariq Citrus Festival achieved great success in highlighting the citrus products for which the governorate is famous. It also received official attention from Al-Hariq Governorate, the office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the governorate, and Al-Hariq Municipality, along with many participating government agencies, to confirm this. The effectiveness of the governorate’s position, as a major hub for agricultural production in the Kingdom, within a vision that supports economic development, consolidates the authenticity of the region, and the richness of its agricultural heritage.
