Flight delays
While flights were operating, airlines had already added more cancellations and delays after air travel slowed Friday due to bad weather.
By 10 a.m. Saturday local time, more than 300 flights had been canceled at Atlanta Airport, while more than 250 other flights were delayed, according to the flight tracking program (FlightAware).
More than 200 flights were canceled at Charlotte Airport, while the takeoff of more than 100 other flights was delayed, and school was canceled on Friday for millions of children from Texas to Georgia to South Carolina.
