The National Forum for the First Line of Defense aims to develop the skills of medical personnel

ABU DHABI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / The Emirates Medical Preparedness and Response Program “Jahiya” is organizing the activities of the National Forum for the First Line of Defense as part of a series of scientific forums aimed at developing the skills of medical personnel and building their capabilities and readiness for medical response to emergencies, disasters and crises, under the supervision of an elite group of senior doctors, consultants and chiefs of staff. The departments are employees of the state’s public and private health hospitals.
The meeting will be held in Abu Dhabi in coordination with the National Center for Disaster Medicine, under the supervision of the Emirati reserve medical teams, and with the accreditation of the European Center for Disaster Medicine and the Abu Dhabi Center for Disaster Medicine.
The forum’s program included many lectures, workshops and training courses approved by prestigious British and American institutions in an innovative initiative that is the first of its kind to unify training curricula and standards for the first line of defense in accordance with international best practices.
The forum comes as a continuation of a series of scientific and specialized training forums in which thousands of first-line defense consultants and heads of emergency, surgery, intensive care and anesthesia departments who work in public and private state hospitals participated in the framework of an integrated plan to train 50,000 medical personnel and qualify a thousand certified trainers to form a nucleus. An accredited training body of senior doctors manages the specialized national medical academies to train medical personnel from the first line of defense. To increase its readiness for medical response to emergencies, disasters and crises according to a unified, internationally approved approach.
