ABU DHABI, 12 JANUARY / WAM / The activities and competitions of the Al Wathba Livestock Festival, which is one of the largest festivals accompanying the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Award for Agricultural Excellence, are witnessing wide participation and great interaction from attendees daily from various parts of the world, in the award pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in the Al Wathba area. The Livestock Festival, which continues until January 28, aims to encourage livestock breeders to acquire the best productive animal breeds, introduce the best distinguished and sustainable practices in this field, and establish various livestock projects.
Today, the award pavilion witnessed the holding of various activities, including the “Al-Hari breed” auction and the “Best Al-Hari breed milk production” and “Best milk production of all sheep breeds” competitions, with the aim of highlighting the importance of raising sheep with high milk production.
In a related context, the Supreme Organizing Committee announced the names of the winners of 3 various competitions within the activities of the Al Wathba Livestock Festival, which are the “Best Seafood Dish Produced by Neighborhood Farms” competition, the “Best Al Nuaimi breed milk production” competition, and the “Best Milk Production of All Breeds” competition. In the “Best Milk Production of the Al Nuaimi Breed” competition, first place was won by Mansour Mubarak Abdullah Al Balushi, while Abdul Rahman Sakher Al Musabi won second place. As for the “Best Milk Production of All Other Breeds of Goat” competition, first place was won by Mansour Mubarak Ali Al Balushi, while Ali Obaid Saeed Al Zaabi won second place, third place was won by Saeed Ali Sultan Al Mansouri, and fourth place was won by Ahmed Abdullah Darwish Al Hammadi.
