The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai revealed its latest classifications of private schools in Dubai, according to the quality of the curriculum and the most attractive to students. The British curriculum schools, which number 90 schools in the emirate, topped the list with a number of students reaching 144,307 male and female students, while the competition entered the list. She said in her recent report, entitled “Growth and Quality in Private Schools in Dubai,” which Emirates Today viewed: “Indian schools rank second in the rankings, as they succeeded in attracting 99,603 male and female students, even though their number does not exceed 34 schools.”
On the other hand, American curriculum schools came in third place, with 40 schools implementing this curriculum, and the total number of students studying the American curriculum in Dubai reached 56,114 male and female students, while International Baccalaureate schools ranked fourth, with a total number of 16 schools in Dubai. It hosts 27,467 male and female students.
The authority’s classifications showed that there are six International Baccalaureate (British curriculum) schools, with an enrollment of 16,677 male and female students, ranking fifth in the classifications.
Although the number of private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum reaches 15 schools, and 13,41 male and female students study in them, they are ranked sixth among the available curricula and according to the desires and numbers of students.
The number of schools varied
According to the authority, the number of schools and the number of students in private schools that implement other curricula varied, as the total number of French curriculum schools reached seven schools, accommodating 9,056 male and female students, while the number of Iranian curriculum schools reached six schools, with 2,292 male and female students studying.
The authority’s report stated that the share of schools with the “Sipes”, Filipino, Pakistani and International Baccalaureate “American” curriculum was two schools in Dubai each, and the number of students there respectively reached 6697, 4483, 3152 and 2039 male and female students.
The least numerous and attractive
The “German, Chinese, Russian, Australian, and Japanese” schools were the least numerous in terms of the number of schools and students, as there was one school for each, and the total number of students there together reached 2,513 male and female students.
In a related context, the Authority reported that there are 11,241 male and female students studying in the introductory year (the foundation year before kindergarten), compared to 28,648 in the first kindergarten, and 32,000 male and female students studying in the second.
First year students
She said: “The total number of students in the first cycle reached 30,610 students in the first grade, 30,634 male and female students in the second, 30,329 male and female students in the third, and 30,500 male and female students in the fourth, while the total number of students in the second cycle reached 30.” One thousand and 227 male and female students in the fifth grade, 28 thousand in the sixth grade, and 27 thousand And 617 male and female students in the seventh grade, compared to 24,422 male and female students in the eighth grade.
Secondary stage
