A fifth Aramco facility is included in the global industrial lighthouse network

Manufacturing facilities are included in the prestigious global network by considering facilities that demonstrate successful adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies on a large scale.
This recognition of the oil production complex in North Ghawar comes after the inclusion of four other Saudi Aramco facilities in the network, namely: the Uthmaniya gas plant, the Khurais oil complex, the Abqaiq plants, and the Yanbu refinery.
Global Lighthouse Network
The global lighthouse network currently includes 189 installations around the world. Saudi Arabia, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, is currently the only global energy company represented by more than three facilities.
“This recognition by the World Economic Forum for the Al Manara Industrial Network underscores our ambition for innovation and operational excellence,” said Nasser Khaled Al Nuaimi, President of Exploration and Production at Saudi Aramco.
He added: “This confirms our journey towards a digital, low-carbon future, as technology enables us to improve our business, reduce our environmental impact, and provide exceptional value to our customers and shareholders.”
Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation at Saudi Aramco, Ahmed Al-Khowaiter, said: “At Saudi Aramco, we have made a strategic investment in achieving digital transformation in our facilities.”
She added: “These efforts have led to significant improvements in efficiency, reduced environmental impact, productivity and safety across all our businesses. Receiving the prestigious Al-Manarat Industrial Network Award is a testament to Saudi Aramco’s pursuit of global leadership in the field of digital transformation and our ambition for innovation.”
