Investopia – Tashkent strengthens the investment partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan

Tashkent – Uzbekistan, June 25 / WAM / Investopia organized the “Investobia – Tashkent” event on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum 2026, with the participation of an elite group of senior government officials, investors, private sector leaders and entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the aim of enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries and exploring new investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and the Central Asian region.

The UAE delegation participating in the forum was headed by His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, with the participation of a number of senior representatives of government agencies, investment institutions and private sector companies, including the Ministry of Investment.

The “Investobia – Tashkent” event embodied the growing momentum in economic and investment relations between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as it included a ministerial dialogue session and three executive round tables, in addition to communication sessions and bilateral meetings between representatives of the two governments and the business sector, which contributes to transforming the economic dialogue into partnerships and tangible investment projects.

His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei and His Excellency Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the ministerial dialogue session, where they discussed ways to enhance economic flexibility, investment priorities, and opportunities for cooperation in the infrastructure, energy and logistics sectors, in addition to the role of the private sector in supporting economic growth between the two countries and the region.

The event also witnessed the organization of three round tables that focused on strategic sectors of common priority, including food security led by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the future of energy and water led by the Union Water and Electricity Company, and new investment corridors led by the Ministry of Investment, with the participation of officials, investors and business leaders to discuss investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The event coincided with the announcement of UAE investment commitments in Uzbekistan worth up to 6 billion US dollars, enhancing the role of Investopia as a global platform for economic dialogue, stimulating qualitative investments and building long-term partnerships.

Economic relations between the UAE and the Republic of Uzbekistan continue to achieve rapid growth, as the joint investment portfolio includes about 100 projects worth more than $20 billion in the sectors of renewable energy, vital minerals, infrastructure, logistics, technology and agriculture. The volume of non-oil trade exchange between the two countries reached 1.25 billion US dollars during 2025, achieving a growth of 52% compared to 2024.

The two countries had declared the period from 2025 to 2027 a “new phase for economic partnership,” within the framework of a joint vision aimed at increasing the volume of trade exchange and expanding the joint investment portfolio to 50 billion US dollars.

His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei said: “The Republic of Uzbekistan represents an important strategic partner for the UAE in the Central Asia region, and the discussions that took place in Tashkent reflect promising opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, logistics and sustainable development. The UAE is committed to continuing to work with Uzbekistan to build long-term economic partnerships and enhance growth corridors that support development and prosperity in the two countries and the region.”

His Excellency Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al-Hawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment and Chairman of Investopia, said: The launch of the Investopia event in Tashkent represents an important step in expanding our presence and economic dialogue in the Central Asia region. The partnership between the UAE and Uzbekistan today includes about 100 joint projects worth more than 20 billion US dollars, and this edition of Investopia has provided a direct channel between investors, companies and government agencies to explore the next generation of opportunities in the new economy sectors.”

The “Investobia – Tashkent” event stressed the importance of strengthening the UAE’s economic dialogue with the Central Asian region and the Commonwealth of Independent States. Through its global editions, Investopia continues to consolidate its role as a platform for high-level dialogue, investment promotion, and building public-private partnerships in emerging and high-growth markets.
