The authority warned of major factors that contribute to the occurrence of traffic accidents, including not leaving a sufficient safe distance between Vehicles, and traffic violations such as ignoring traffic signals and not giving priority to other vehicles, sudden deviation without using warning signals, distraction from driving due to using the phone or any distracting activities, in addition to driving against the direction of traffic.
Requesting help when needed
The Authority called on road users to contact road security by calling 996 to request assistance when needed, stressing that the rate of accidents increases by about 15% during the holiday seasons.
