The Kingdom chairs the meeting of the Arab States Broadcasting Union in Tunisia

Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia chaired the 112th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in the city of Hammamet, Tunisia, with the participation of member states and the presence of the President of the Union, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harithi.

 Al-Harithi stressed in his speech during The meeting stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab media cooperation, with the aim of serving development issues and conveying the voice of the Arab peoples to the world.

 He explained that this meeting represents an important step. Towards unifying media efforts among member states, with a strategic vision that seeks to highlight Arab identity and promote common values, in addition to keeping pace with global media developments in line with the needs of Arab societies.

 Al-Harthy reviewed the investment projects that aim to create A financial source for the Union, which gives it flexibility and continuity, and the formation of a company that acts as an investment arm for the Union.

 The meeting witnessed a discussion of the achievements achieved by the Union during the past year, and a review of the challenges facing the Arab media and investment opportunities that support media integration. He also discussed the ongoing preparations for organizing the Arab Media Conference scheduled to be held in Iraq this year, which is expected to be an important platform for exchanging experiences and integrating media efforts among member states.

 The meeting concluded by emphasizing the necessity of continuing joint work to achieve the Union’s goals. And enhancing the status of Arab media internationally, which contributes to presenting a positive and integrated image of the Arab world.
