The Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament affirms his country’s solidarity with the UAE regarding the Iranian attacks

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, received a message from Laszlo Kóvier, Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, in which he affirmed his country’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates in the face of Iranian attacks and current challenges.

In his letter, Cover expressed his strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the state and the losses they cause, stressing that these attacks and inhumane acts are unacceptable, contradict the basic principles of international law, and cannot be justified under any circumstances.

He pointed out that Hungary is following with great concern the developments taking place in the Middle East region, stressing that his country stands by the UAE during these circumstances and supports everything that would enhance security and stability.

The President of the Hungarian National Assembly appreciated the efforts made by the competent authorities in the UAE and the support and cooperation they provide to ensure the safety of his country’s citizens who are in the country.

He stressed the strength and depth of the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, which are reflected in continued cooperation and joint coordination even in light of the current challenges, noting that these relations were the focus of discussion during the visit of His Excellency Saqr Ghobash to Budapest in November 2025.

Cover expressed his confidence that the situation will move towards stability, and that the next stage will allow for the continuation of dialogue and cooperation between the two sides in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries.
