The Center obligated the conformity assessment bodies applying for accreditation to fulfill the requirements for the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories, the efficiency of manufacturers of reference materials, the general requirements of biobanks, the requirements of audit bodies and standard specifications, and to provide all data, information and documents, and the requirements of halal standard specifications to the conformity assessment body practicing the activity of granting halal certificates.
Certificate validity and accreditation suspensions
The Center allowed the conformity assessment body to renew the accreditation certificate upon its request, a maximum of six months before the expiration of the accreditation certificate, and the renewal date begins from the expiration date of the accreditation certificate.
The Center has identified cases of suspension of part or all of the accreditation field upon its request on a voluntary basis without any financial obligation being imposed on the Center, or due to its inability to continue fulfilling the accreditation requirements, and in the event of non-payment of the financial fees resulting from the accreditation or when repeatedly violating the policy of using the logo. Accreditation will be withdrawn if the Center discovers that there are any practices or evidence of fraudulent or fraudulent behavior, or that the entity intentionally provides false or inaccurate information or conceals important information about the Center.
Transparency in providing services
The Center is committed to providing accreditation services in a transparent, impartial and efficient manner in line with the requirements of international standards such as ISO/IEC 17011 and others, ensuring the confidentiality of information for conformity assessment bodies that are accessed by the Center’s employees and representatives, and providing all data and information related to the documents containing the conditions for applying for accreditation, the application form and the requirements. The financial compensation and any other documents related to accreditation services are available to all beneficiaries.
The center’s obligations include considering any complaint or grievance submitted by the conformity assessment body, studying it objectively, and taking the necessary measures to address it in accordance with the complaints and grievance procedures approved by the center, or publishing a list of the names and contact information of the approved conformity assessment bodies, their areas of accreditation, and the validity period of the certificate on the center’s official website, and notifying Entities, through appropriate channels, regarding any changes affecting the provision of accreditation services.
The Center has set the financial compensation for proficiency testing service providers, reference material manufacturers, inspection body services, biobanks, or medical laboratories, including but not limited to submission and review of documents, at 3,000 riyals, 4,000 riyals for technical office evaluation, 5,000 riyals for issuing an accreditation certificate, and 3,000 riyals for the technical office’s evaluation. Thousands of riyals to replace the lost ones.
