Australia welcomes the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip

Australia welcomed the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, praising the continued efforts and mediation undertaken by Egypt, Qatar and the United States of America, to reach this agreement and end the war.

A joint statement issued by the President expressed Australian Ministers Anthony Albanese and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong expressed the country’s support for this agreement, calling on all parties to adhere to the terms of the agreement and ensure the achievement of sustainable peace, including the provision of unhindered humanitarian aid to all regions.
