Agreement between "Adnik" and"Positive Zero" To install a solar photovoltaic system

The agreement aims to install an advanced solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, which will contribute to enhancing the sustainability of its operational operations and reducing its environmental impact.

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place during the World Future Energy Summit held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, where the agreement was signed by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Group, and Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar Hussein, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Positive Zero, in the presence of a number of senior figures. He added that by supporting ADNEC Group’s carbon transformation plans, we are contributing together to accelerating the transformation ambitions of the energy sector in the UAE. The generation arm of Positive Zero, SirajPower, will manage the project, which will extend over a period of 15 years, as solar panels with a peak capacity of 5 megawatts will be installed. “MWp” on an area of ​​​​21,620 square meters of the roof of the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center, and it is expected that the system will begin operating by the end of this year, to contribute In meeting about 30% of the center’s annual electricity needs, which contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 6,000 metric tons annually, which is equivalent to providing electricity to 1,250 homes for an entire year.

This agreement comes within ADNEC Group’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% by 2030, and achieve complete carbon neutrality by 2045. The group relies on a comprehensive strategy for transitioning towards sustainability, which includes implementing the latest technologies and adopting innovative practices aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
