Opening of the Emirates Ear, Nose, Throat and Audiology Forum in Dubai

The Ministry of Health and Community Protection opened the Emirates Forum for Ear, Nose, Throat, Hearing, Swallowing and Communication Disorders, in cooperation with the Arab Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in the UAE, which continues from January 16-18, 2025 AD at the Dubai World Trade Center in the presence of 5,000 doctors and specialists and a number of senior officials. Leaders of the health sector in the Emirates, heads of Gulf medical associations, and experts from various countries of the world.

The conference represents a leading scientific platform for exchanging experiences between doctors and surgeons and learning about the latest medical findings in the field of ear, nose and throat surgery and audiology in the world. It also aims to enhance scientific research by reviewing the latest medical technologies in the fields of diagnosis, treatment and clinical studies.

The forum sessions are devoted to discussing modern methods of cosmetic and functional nose operations, problems of sleep apnea and snoring, and the latest methods for diagnosing and treating them, in addition to ear surgeries to improve hearing and cochlear implants.

The forum represents an opportunity for all doctors working in the field of ear, nose and throat diseases in the Gulf and Arab countries to work together and exchange experiences on the latest technologies and research in the field of ear, nose, throat, head and neck diseases.

Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al-Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector at the Ministry of Health and Prevention, President of the Emirates Ear, Nose and Throat Division at the Emirates Medical Association, and President of the World Federation of Ear, Nose and Throat Societies, stressed during his speech at the opening the distinguished position of the forum as one of the most prominent specialized conferences in the region.

He pointed out that the forum covers a wide range of subspecialties, including allergy treatment, head and neck surgeries, cochlear implants, audiology, swallowing and communication disorders, with a special focus on pediatrics and facial surgeries.

He praised the continued support provided by the wise leadership to the health sector, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to establish an advanced and integrated health system that guarantees the highest levels of health care with international standards.

Al-Rand revealed a comprehensive scientific program extending over three days, which includes specialized scientific papers and discussion sessions led by an elite group of experts and consultants, pointing out that the forum is witnessing the organization of a series of intensive training workshops under the supervision of international experts, with the aim of refining the skills of resident doctors and providing them with the latest international expertise. .

The forum’s activities include live broadcast of surgical operations performed by international doctors, giving participants a unique opportunity to witness the latest medical technologies and protocols in the field of diagnosis and treatment.
