Egypt stresses the importance of starting without delay to implement the ceasefire agreement in Gaza

Egypt stressed the extreme importance of starting without delay the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of hostages and prisoners, stressing the need for the parties to the agreement to adhere to its provisions and work to implement its stages on the dates specified for them.

In a statement today, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of implementing the agreement leading to an increased pace of access and safe and effective distribution of humanitarian aid on the largest scale throughout the Gaza Strip.

She called on the international community to support the humanitarian effort and provide aid to the Gaza Strip, and to begin early recovery projects in preparation for the reconstruction of the Strip, with Egypt preparing to host an international conference in this regard.

She stressed that this agreement contributes to sparing the blood of the innocent Palestinian people, who suffered from the scourge of war and the resulting severe humanitarian crisis over a period of more than 15 months that witnessed unprecedented suffering.
