Launching the Media Experts Initiative to develop the country’s media system

During a ceremony held in Dubai, Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, launched the “Media Experts” initiative, which includes advisory committees for the National Media Office.

The initiative aims to provide strategic visions and innovative ideas that contribute to enabling the wise leadership’s vision of the media as a vital partner in the process of sustainable development.

The Media Experts Initiative comes within the framework of the National Media Office’s commitment to work to enhance the role of the media in spreading awareness and developing media content in line with professional standards and serving the issues of the state and society.

The initiative also reflects the office’s keenness to benefit from the expertise of pioneers in all specializations, in a way that enhances the process of media work in the country.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Abdullah Al Hamed welcomed the media professionals participating in the initiative and stressed the importance of building bridges of effective communication with different competencies. To benefit from their rich expertise and experiences, pointing out that excellence cannot be achieved in the present and future without benefiting from the expertise of pioneers and academics.

He stressed the National Media Office’s keenness to involve media professionals in formulating targeted strategies to develop the performance of the media sector, raise its efficiency, and develop media cadres to enable them to keep pace with the rapid developments in the media globally.

Dr. Jamal Muhammad Al-Kaabi, Director General of the National Media Office, spoke during the ceremony about the distribution of advisory committees, their work mechanism and the required roles, stressing that the office aims, by launching the committees, to activate the partnership between it and senior media professionals to benefit from their accumulated experience, by involving them in designing media strategies aimed at improving… The media system and raising its level of efficiency, in harmony with the state’s national strategic plans.

He pointed out that the advisory committees will work to support the projects of the National Media Office by proposing and reviewing policies, practices, and media content, in addition to providing practical recommendations that contribute to increasing the media sector’s contribution to the national economy, keeping pace with the latest global developments, enhancing its competitiveness, and consolidating its position on the national economy. The international arena.

The Media Experts Initiative includes five advisory committees that specialize in various media tracks, including the Digital Media Committee, the Radio and Television Committee, the Newspapers and Printed Media Committee, the Television, Film and Theater Production Committee, and the Media Affairs Committee.
