With a 4-page document… Abbas presents… "plan" The next day in Gaza

Israeli Channel 12 said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas handed over an unsigned document to the United States, Egypt, Qatar and the European Union containing details of his plan to establish a temporary administration in the Gaza Strip affiliated with the Palestinian Authority.

 

 

Channel 12 added that Abbas “insists that the Palestinian Authority bear responsibility for managing the transitional phase in Gaza.” On Friday, the Palestinian Authority sent a team of senior officials to Egypt to join the arrangements that will be made at the Rafah crossing, immediately after the ceasefire enters into force.  

 

 

 The Palestinian President’s four-page document details his proposal to form two working groups in the Gaza Strip – one of which will be headed by The Palestinian Minister of Planning is responsible for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and the other, headed by the Palestinian Minister, is for Social Development, which will be responsible for caring for the population and transporting humanitarian aid. The Israeli cabinet held a meeting on Friday to approve an agreement to release dozens of hostages held by militants in Gaza and stop the war that has been ongoing for 15 months. If the Security Council of Ministers approves the agreement, it will be referred to the government for final signature before the ceasefire enters into force.
