Kerala, January 17 / WAM / His Excellency Engineer Ahmed Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for the Electricity, Water and Future Energy Sector, participated in a session entitled “India and the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries: Enhancing Cooperation in the Field of Energy and Innovation”, within the Kochi Dialogue 2025, which It was hosted by the Indian state of Kerala, and was attended by a number of Their Excellencies.
During the session, His Excellency stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between India and the UAE in the fields of energy and innovation, noting that the strategic partnerships between the two sides represent an essential pillar for advancing sustainable development and adopting future technologies that contribute to achieving the goals of clean energy and climate action.
He said that the Kochi Dialogue represents an important platform for exchanging best practices and exploring innovative solutions that can be adapted to our national goals, and that international cooperation, especially with partners in India, is crucial to achieving the UAE’s vision for sustainable development.
He added that the UAE, thanks to its future vision and ambitious strategies such as the UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and the Strategic Initiative for Climate Neutrality 2050, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the security and stability of the energy sector, noting that the UAE invests heavily in renewable energy projects and innovative technology, making it a global model to be emulated. He added that the Gulf Cooperation Council countries seek to enhance innovation in the field of energy by adopting the latest technologies, stressing the importance of exchanging experiences with India, which is considered one of the leading countries in the field of technology and innovation.
