At the request of Russia, the Security Council holds a closed session on Iran

Today, the UN Security Council will hold a closed consultation session on the war in Middle East Requested by Russia, according to what was reported by official media in Moscow.
The official TASS agency quoted Yevgeny Uspensky, spokesman for the Russian delegate to the United Nations, as saying that "The Russian Federation requested closed consultations in the UN Security Council due to continued strikes on civilian infrastructure in Iran, including educational and health facilities."
Washington, which holds the international presidency of the Council this month, set the session at 2 GMT.
