Fakhro: Keenness to strengthen existing bilateral cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and America in various fields

Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, affirmed that the historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America are moving towards further development, prosperity and development, indicating the keenness to strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially in the commercial and industrial fields, which has been strengthened by visits and agreements. This came when the Minister of Industry and Commerce participated as a keynote speaker in the business luncheon organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, in the presence of Qais Hatem Al-Zoubi, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with Liz Clark, Director of Middle East Affairs at the American Chamber of Commerce.
The Minister pointed out the importance of the private sector in both friendly countries as an essential partner in development and its continuing role in pushing the areas of joint coordination towards advanced levels for the benefit of the two countries and their friendly people, stressing the aspiration to enhance the benefit of these joint relations in the future in various sectors, especially the commercial and industrial sectors. .
In turn, Stephen Craig Bondy, the US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressed that this comes in light of the continued commitment to strengthening trade relations between the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain by enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation paths under the Free Trade Agreement, praising the fruitful partnership between the American Chamber of Commerce in the United States. and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham), who are working with the US Embassy in Bahrain to foster expanded business relationships between the private sectors in both countries. These efforts align closely with our goals under Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement to deepen economic cooperation and enhance trade opportunities.
For his part, Qais Al-Zoubi, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain, expressed the pride of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham) in organizing this pivotal event, stressing that the Chamber is honored in its role as a main platform that brings together business owners, government representatives, and major stakeholders from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, He added that the Chamber is constantly seeking to strengthen bilateral trade relations, which contributes to achieving common economic goals between the two countries, saying: “This event reflects our firm commitment to supporting American companies in the Kingdom, and facilitating Expanding the scope of Bahraini companies’ businesses in global markets, and in cooperation with our valued partners, we are proud to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and strategic partnership between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and provide exceptional value to our members and the business community in general.”
In the same context, Liz Clark, Middle East Affairs Officer at the American Chamber of Commerce based in Washington, DC, expressed her appreciation for the strategic partnership between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the notable achievements achieved over the past few years, stressing Bahrain’s firm commitment to strengthening its relations with the United States. Clark explained that this commitment is clearly demonstrated by the signing of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) with the United States of America, which strengthens bilateral relations between the two countries, praising the role of the American Chamber of Commerce in supporting this partnership since the beginning of the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the United States. and Bahrain in 2006, noting the significant growth that trade between the two countries has witnessed since then.
