Iranian attacks will not discourage us, and closing the Strait of Hormuz is a global economic war

The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, confirmed that Iran’s blatant attacks on the UAE “will not discourage us,” stressing that the country is not a party to the ongoing war in the region.
He said that the UAE is a sovereign state, whose policies are based on its national orientations and its supportive approach to political solutions, and therefore it has made sincere efforts to find a diplomatic solution that will spare the region conflicts and wars.
Al-Jaber added in statements to the Wall Street Journal that by closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran is waging a global economic war and this is not a regional issue, but rather a global issue that will lead to high inflation, a slowdown in the economy, and an increase in the cost of living for families.
He said: Our oil and gas operations have been affected, and we will continue to do everything in our power to mitigate the effects of the situation, with a continuous evaluation of every site, product and shipment, and we will continue in our role as a reliable global energy supplier.
Al-Jaber stressed that after the aggression stops and the attacks end, we will be able to quickly restore production and return to our maximum capacity, stressing that the Iranian aggression will not frustrate our resolve.
