Border Guard ground patrols in the Raboua sector in the Asir region arrested (8) border security violators of Ethiopian nationality, for smuggling (200) kilograms of khat plant.
The patrols in the Al-Dair sector in the Jazan region also arrested (14) violators of the border security system of Ethiopian nationality, for smuggling (252) kilograms of the khat plant.
The initial legal procedures were completed against them, and they and the seized items were handed over to the competent authority.

In the same context, border guard patrols in the Rabigh sector in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region foiled the smuggling of (3) kilograms of narcotic hashish.
It called on the security authorities to report all available information to citizens and residents about any activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion.
This is done by calling the numbers (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom, and the General Directorate of Drug Control reports number (995), and via email.
