Music composer Rhys Beck and the “Love and Revenge” band present: “The Most Beautiful Nights” In the French capital, Paris, at the invitation of the Paris Philharmonic Orchestra, on the fiftieth anniversary of the passing of Mrs. Umm Kulthum."
"The most beautiful nights" It is a tribute that gives new life to the music of Umm Kulthum in a show that combines the most famous and symbolic songs that she performed, and the wonderful images that she left in Egyptian cinema.
It revives the sound of Kawkab Al-Sharq and modernizes the music distribution in addition to synthesising images from films and concerts to present it to the viewer within a breathtaking show that touches the emotions and takes us nostalgically to the beautiful era of Arab music and cinema.
About "Love and Revenge"
The bandGram and Intikamhas been working for more than ten years today through electronic music to delve into the world of Arabic cinema and music.
Drawing on a large legacy of Arabic pop music and Egyptian films from the 1940s to the 1990s, musician Rais Bey created a fertile hybrid between the joys of the past and modern aesthetics, as he remixes old melodies, in collaboration with Mahdi Drumming on the oud and music, Julian Berrodeau (specialist in electronic music: hypnotic synths) ;
We mention among these works the songs and films of Umm Kulthum, Asmahan, Sabah, Abdel HalimHafez, Warda, Abdel Wahab, more than artists, icons of the Arab world take us on a journey of love and revenge across time.
