"Mohammed bin Rashid for knowledge" organize "A journey of knowledge in Kuwait"

Dubai, January 20 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and the United Nations Development Program announced the organization of the second edition of the “Knowledge Journey in Kuwait” initiative on the 5th and 6th of next February, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development in the State of Kuwait.
Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to empower Kuwaiti youth and develop their necessary leadership skills in a way that contributes to promoting sustainable national development in the long term by focusing on innovation, encouraging creativity, and enhancing the vitality of the private sector.
The Foundation also seeks to create fruitful dialogues between youth and decision-makers, encouraging cooperation between the public and private sectors to advance innovation and support Kuwait’s transition to a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.
It aims to integrate perceptions and ideas extracted from data into the decision-making process to formulate future strategies that work to enhance the Kuwaiti knowledge economy.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, said that the Knowledge Journey represents a global platform that brings together minds and experiences to discuss the future of knowledge and its role in shaping the intellectual landscape of societies.
He added that these events are an opportunity to enhance innovation, exchange experiences, and build capabilities, enabling societies to anticipate and confront future challenges. He hopes that the next stages of the knowledge journey, including Knowledge Week in Kuwait, will provide a new motivation for Kuwaiti youth to contribute to charting knowledge paths and enhancing the process of sustainable development for their country.
For his part, Sherif Al-Takli, Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Kuwait, pointed out that within the framework of Knowledge Week, we are working to highlight the potential of Kuwaiti youth and their pivotal role in achieving sustainable development through this initiative, and we seek to support an environment that encourages innovation and cooperation with the private sector, which enhances the efforts of Diversify the economy and build a more sustainable future for Kuwait.
Iman Al-Sharrah, Director of the National Center for Knowledge Economy, confirmed that the “Knowledge Journey” initiative represents a pivotal step towards achieving Kuwait Vision 2035 and building a society based on knowledge and strategic thinking that contributes to developing the future of Kuwait.
The “Knowledge Journey” was divided into stations, with the first stage organized on October 22, 2024, and focused on analyzing and understanding the reality of the current knowledge circles in Kuwait and reviewing the results of the Global Knowledge Index for the year 2023.
As for the second edition, it was decided to organize it in February of 2025. The first day will discuss the subject of the fields of innovation and information and communications technology as transformative forces in the global economy and review how to benefit from technology, research and development, and digital literacy with the aim of accelerating and sustaining development in Arab countries, while the second day will address redesigning education systems. In order to keep pace with the future and activate the lifelong learning approach with a focus on vocational training.
The third edition, “Knowledge Week,” will be held from April 20-24, 2025, as a culmination of the “Knowledge Journey” initiative with all its activities. Discussions over five days will address all the results and insights drawn from previous activities. Participants will also present their proposals and plans to enhance the knowledge economy to decision-makers. .
