Partnership between"ADNOC Gas" and"Emirates Water and Electricity" To support the country’s energy sector

Abu Dhabi, January 21 / WAM / ADNOC Gas PLC and its subsidiaries – referred to as “ADNOC Gas” – announced a new long-term strategic partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company, to support the qualitative shift in the country’s energy sector.

This partnership is based on a flexible sale and purchase agreement for natural gas between ADNOC Gas Utilities LLC and Emirates Water and Electricity Company, extending over 10 years with a value exceeding 36 billion dirhams ($10 billion).

The announcement of the new strategic partnership was attended by Fatima Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas, Othman Al Ali, CEO of Emirates Water and Electricity Company, and a number of members of the executive management of the two companies.

Al Nuaimi said, “We appreciate the long-term partnership with Emirates Water and Electricity Company, which is based on a strategic agreement spanning 10 years, which will contribute to supporting the trend towards digital transformation, the growing need for flexibility in communication, and the growing reliance on advanced technology solutions and applications to drive growth.” economic growth in the country, in conjunction with accelerating the country’s efforts to reach climate neutrality.

For his part, Al Ali said that this strategic agreement with ADNOC Gas includes providing flexible and stable supplies of natural gas, which is a major factor in enabling energy transition endeavors in the country, at a time when we are accelerating our efforts in integrating renewable and clean energy and advanced technologies. Natural gas will play a key role in bridging the gap between traditional and sustainable energy sources.

He added that this partnership enhances the ability of the Emirates Water and Electricity Company to provide a safe, efficient, and emissions-free system for water and electricity supply in the country, in addition to contributing to supporting the country’s strategic initiative to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, and through cooperation with ADNOC Gas, we confirm Our shared commitment to contribute to the country’s economic growth, enhance sustainability, and ensure energy security for future generations in the long term.
